The Lucky One

It came to me once before I said please I want no more But it came to me twice Please go away it would be nice All the chaos and distress My life was surely a mess I said I can beat you this time My life would just be fine Then you came a second time There was no reason or rhyme The second time they were wrong Time was eternity it took so long The cancer did not come back to me I was one of the lucky ones you see Some people do not have that fate They find cancer and it's way to late

Always like to hear the good news of beating cancer at its own game But you are correct, that is not the case many, many times. Loved the rhyming.

so glad you beat this awful disease, Phyll. My mum was lucky too - she had breast cancer around 15 years ago

I think once you have had cancer the fear of it coming back is always there. I hope and pray that your are in remission for a long time.

good one . You told me about this already, right? I hope I am not mixing you up with someone else. You had gotten cancer before as I recall. I think it would be a very strange and horrible experience to have to live thru that. LUv, andrea
