The Lovely Little Red Bird

The Lovely Little Red Bird By Betty Harp Butler Hi! Little red bird On a limb up high, With nothing above you, But bright blue sky. Sing your twittering song To all those down below. Then spread your little wings And decide which way to go. Or could your sweet song Be for another bird nearby? If so, keep on twittering Soon both of you can fly away On the wind and through the sky. Are you a cardinal or simply red? Your singing is sweet, up over my head. Lovely to hear, at the end of the day. Keep singing the melody, Twitter away!
