The Love of Your Life
The Love of Your Life
(as told in front of a mirror)
As I looked I saw
The love of my life,
So very familiar to me.
Where have you been all of my days?
Tell me it is not so,
This lovely person I show,
Has always been, and forever be,
Connected to every part of me.
Upon closer eyes I see,
That my true love,
First and foremost should always be,
This reflection in the mirror called: me.
The mirror said, “How can you love someone else without first loving yourself? “Before you
love he or she, you must love me.”
