The Love of Words

I'll never be a famous poet
No one will know my name
But still I carry a love for words
That I simply can't explain

There's something very special
In the way that people write
An emotion put to paper
To the reader's pure delight

They can often tell a story
In just a sentence or maybe two
While we wonder if the words they write
Are fictitious or maybe true

I'll never see my name in lights
For something I have written
Or hear someone say I'm good
Because they're simply smitten

But that's okay I'll keep on writing
Through all those depressing times
And hope someone soon will hear my words
As I turn them into rhymes
