The Love of a Friend
I forgot who I was
or where I was going.
I'm a leaf in the wind
and it wont stop blowing.
I have no one to call..
I left myself behind.
Just leave a message.
I'm out of my mind.
I didn't see it coming.
All the bridges I burned.
The tests I somehow survived
were all lessons not learned.
I cant do it alone
but I'm all by myself.
I cant stand what I see.
The mirror cries out for help.
I dont want to give up
and if you see me out there.
Please give me a kind smile.
Something two people can share.
The little things help so much.
When the despair is so real.
I pray I make it through this.
I know what I want to feel.
I want to feel I belong
and to believe once again.
I want to care about someone.
I need the love of a friend.
