The Love In Our Lives

The taste of sweet victory,
Is really worth the wait.
For her to say she's into me,
Would really make my day.
Why should we be enemies,
If all we've done was prayed,
For someone so interesting,
To steal our hearts away?
Why then build a wall,
And hide the given truth?
Why not risk it all,
And be the living proof?
Why should complicated,
Create a great divide?
Why become frustrated,
With a friend we like?
I won't say that marriage,
Is next in our lives;
If we're really friends,
What may never die?
