The Love I Lost
The love I lost
And could not find
I was forced to put him
Out of my mind.
To continue loving him
I could not do
Had to find another
Who would love me true.
The love I lost
But loved oh, so much
Turned me down
And wished for luck.
He passed up
A number one girl
To travel happily
Around the world.
The love I lost
And wished to find
Stayed forever
On my mind.
Bringing back memories
Of the past
And remembering how long
Our love did last.
The love I lost
And finally found
Back to me
He was bound.
Now our love
Has come anew
And we will forever
Keep it true.
