The Love Garden
The circumstance of you being here
is simply that-a chance taken.
Really luck was on my side
'cos you're always here when I waken.
If love has bloomed I've tended my garden
where the soil is rich and strong.
Surely I've watered it with my tears
back when I had it all wrong.
Now I know how good it can be
when love is a handmade gift.
In a world that tests one's spirit
it's your face that gives me a lift.
This is a journey of separate souls
that come together as one.
Dance to the music with joyful feet
and wrap me up when we're done.
