The Lost Love

My heart was broken, left in pain, By a love, I thought would remain. I gave him my all, my heart, my soul, But he left me, like a discarded scroll. I thought our love, would last forever, But in the end, it turned to never. I thought our bond, was strong and true, But he left, without saying adieu. Now I must pick, up the pieces, And find a way, to mend these creases. I'll heal my heart, and learn to trust, And not give in, to bitterness and rust. I'll take this pain, and turn it to strength, And find the courage, for my own length. I'll learn to love, myself again, And not rely, on others' pain.
