The Lost Christmas
(Lost husband or wife)
Merry Christmas my love I miss you dear,
my heart sinks low without you here.
I miss our days that were joyous and bright,
this year I will cry by candle light.
(Lost Mom or Dad)
Merry Christmas again, thanks for the love,
enjoy your new home in Heaven above.
My heart still hurts I sure miss you,
I’ll make you proud and see life through.
(Lost Sibling)
Merry Christmas my brother and sister as well,
I wish you could come back and sit for a spell.
I’ve spent many nights crying myself to sleep,
but on Christmas Day I promise not to weep.
(Lost to Covid 19)
Merry Christmas to those who have died this year,
it’s going to be hard without you here.
Tell Jesus Happy Birthday on Christmas Day,
I’m sorry you had to go and couldn’t stay.
(The Ones Still Here)
Merry Christmas to you, you’ve lost ones you loved so,
as I write down these words my tears for you flow.
This poem is for you, I’m glad you’re still here,
and Merry Christmas to those with Jesus this year!
