The Lost

The Bells of moonlight
Serenade my dreaming
Each face a new sight
To drive my screaming

The memories pull me to the floor
Their closed eyes open up the door
The hands beyond it pull for more
Their icy fingers slither to my core

My eyes are open
I’m climbing slowly
Some words were spoken
But they’re unholy

I hide my face into the wall
I hold it tight before I fall
I hear the dying scream their call
I close my eyes, I can’t save them at all

I think I’ve woken
I know I’m sleeping
I’m sure I’m broken
Because I’m not feeling

Her face gets closer all the time
Her eyes are wrapped up with my mind
My writing burns for her to find
The fading doorway that’s inside
