The Loser

They say he's a loser,
but who, for once, did not become one?
Who on earth who says he's a winner
could outdo the things he's done?

He stood for common people's dream.
He fought to oust autocracy.
In crowded streets, he would scream.
His battle's theme was democracy.

He was the voice of people's hope,
thought at times, failed to claim his throne.
He tried still to climb his rope,
until his fame had come to hone.

For twice, he captured victory,
and then for thrice, did it again.
Those who mock him should say sorry,
for, his great feats are hard to gain.
