The Lord Knows Who Are His 2 Timothy 2:19

A Workman Approved by God 2 Timothy :14-16 Keep reminding them of these things. Warn them before God against quarreling about words; it is of no value, and only ruins them who listen. Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. Avoid godless chatter, because those who indulge in it will become more and more ungodly. Avoid false teachers 2 Timothy 2:17 Their teaching will spread like gangrene. Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus, (false teachers during St Paul's day.) who have wandered away from the truth. They have said that the resurrection has already taken place, and they destroy the faith of some. God's solid foundation stands firm 2 Timothy 2:18-19 Nevertheless, God's solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: "The Lord knows who are his," and, Everyone who confesses the Lord must turn away from wickedness." paraphrase of 2 Timothy 2:19-20. 2 Timothy 2:21 excerpts from If a man (cleanse himself with with golden vessels of purpose ) ... he will be an instrument for noble purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work. Flee the evil desires of youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. 2 Timothy 2:23-25 paraphrases You must avoid at all costs foolish and stupid arguments causing quarrels. Any servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be kind, teach able not resentful to people. He must only instruct his opponents and hope that the Lord will lead them into their repentance and truthful knowledge. And they will come to their senses and escape the from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will." 2 Timothy 2:26 O The Lord knows who are His And who are also called according to the richness Of His holy purpose for His sheep hear His voice And a stranger's unknown voice they will not Follow into the unrighteous paths and snares Of the devil--the enemy of the Holy Trinity, The Holy Angels, heavenly saints and earth Bound saints of the most high and holy God! He will lead them into paths of righteousness For the sake of His worthy names sake. The Lord knows who are His and the joint heirs Of His free gift of everlasting life and shall deliver Them from the wiles and the entrapment's of the Wicked ones. Amen!
