With every steak we eat, Billions more fall at our feet; With every bite of fish, We rob the ocean of her gifts With every drop of oil, Nature’s bounty do we spoil; With every burning coal, We dig our graves and carve their stones With every person born, We wage a long and needless war Against our ancient mother, Earth, Who first did give our species birth
