The Lonesome Lane

The pour and shower has just gone by The lumps of clouds are moving out of the sky The blessing is glistening on the stone paved road And the hollow holes becoming broad Along the lonesome lane The dried up drops let alone your heart Of something pleasant torn apart The glaze of the shine upon your face Giving you a doubt about the rest of the race Around the lonesome lane You wait on the corridor Expecting someone to be at the door You lean on the wall of darkness Waiting for company, in distress Across the lonesome lane The loveliest spring comes after winter With goes away all your splinter You help yourself with the lay of flower beds Holding onto this merriment you always head Down the lonesome lane
