The Lonely Traveller

Just another lonely hotel room in another lonely town The night is cold and I feel old And there is no one else around I need another lonely heart to keep me company I feel like I'm swimming in a cold and lonely sea Now I'm drowning in the darkness sinking in the gloom In deep despair and filled with care In my solitary room I need someone so much it hurts I need someone to care I need someone to ease this pain but there is nobody there I need you to hold me close to tell me all is well I need you to save me From this solitary hell I need you with me I need you to hold me tight To take away this aching feeling and to help me through the night But I have traveled many miles and you are far away And this vow I'll make right now I'll come back to you some day Cos you are that lonely heart the only heart for me Only you can stop me drowning in this cold and lonely sea So this is an SOS I'm sending out to you I need you to save me I need you to get me through And before I sink down deeper Let me hold on to you Denis Briggs
