The Lonely Orphan

The child walks
with her feet shattered in the sand
looking so weary
like an anachronist
comfort coming from no where
walking down a lonely road

No one to talk to
she talks to herself
may babble to herself
laughing all the time
to keep the tears away

The pearly eyes so dim
sat by the wayside
sad and lonely
on lone country road.

This brought tears to my eyes. Great imagery, I can see her little face. A heart-rending write Ibiella.
