The Lonely
I behold a woman sitting in her chair,
Looking out her window, longing to share!
I envision, a man submerged in TV,
With nothing to say to his wife or family!
I observe a boy rejected and scared!
To gain a friend, he does what he’s dared!
I relate to the girl, who is looking for love
Giving in, when push comes to shove!
I visit a world full of hate, envy, and strife
While sitting in my office, both morning and night!
I see a screen, on our phones and such
Taking the place of a voice, and a touch!
With an average number of three hundred friends
Can you tell me why, loneliness trends?
