The Little Girl
As I walk through this life,
lies flash before my eyes.
Memories from way back when,
of a little girl in pain.
Keeping a huge secret,
burying it within.
I remember what it was like,
watching all of the fights.
Mommy always said you were picking,
but of course she was just pretending.
The beatings and the bruises,
my god what was wrong with you.
I wander if you enjoyed it,
or if you regret it.
Daddy, Im sorry to say,
Im so glad mommy walked away.
