The Little Girl

I dropped a penny into the bowl. She casted a glance at the contribution. I didnt ask if she was hungry. I saw instead the John Players" bill board. I could also see 50% discount. My first salary and a lovely trendy wrist watch. Time is valuable. We ought not to spare a second. She didnt know that sixty seconds make a minute. A second late would dwindle my reputation as a teacher. I teach economic resources. I teach the law of utility. We never blend utility with humanity. Time is precious. An empty bowl and her untimely obligations. Democracy in a beggar"s bowl.
