The Little Firefly

For the Lord, I so wanted to be able shine bright,
But I was a little firefly, with a broken tail light.

I cried out to God, but He was nowhere in sight,
I flew off on my own, no destination for my flight.

Soon I found myself lost and shaking with fright,
I cried out to God, “please save me from this plight.”

He scooped me up, saying “Everything’s alright.”
I asked Him why He left me alone on this night.

He told me He hadn’t, not to depend on my sight,
He was there the whole time, fixing my tail light.
