The Liquid Gold

The Liquid Gold

In different forms of state it exists
Ice in polar zones and mountain peaks we see
Not only fresh and flowing it is in our rivers,
But also salty and static it is in ocean and seas
Vapor blown by wind from lakes form rain in the hills
Water the most precious substance given by Mother Nature

A clear flowing substance with a flat taste
Useless it may seem, when we don’t need it
But precious than gold it is, when we lack it
Great distances people walk, when searching for it
Conflicts, injuries and death have occurred, when craving for it
Us all, we are not only required to save it, but also protect it
Water the most precious substance given by Mother Nature

It’s not only required by living things,
But also a lot of it required in building and heavy engines
Lacking it for a week the whole house stinks
Its lack does not only affect our health, but also our economy it slows
Not forgetting its catchments were points of interest to early kings
Water the most precious substance given by Mother Nature

Tens of liters we waste when we leave a tap running
When we pollute rivers and lakes, aquatic live we are harming
By protecting our Catchment areas, thousand s of lives we will be saving
Since it’s given to us for free by nature
Let’s learn to save it and use it well remembering those without it
Water the most precious substance given by Mother Nature
