The Light That Shines No More

The light
That has shone bright
For a while
Is starting to lose sight

The light
That is getting dim
Just starting
Dark growing, aglow slim

The light
Is gone from my soul
It is no more
Where else do I go?

The light
Leaves me alone
It has betrayed
I'm now cold as a stone

Oh light
Come back to existence
Show again
Light with great distance

Oh light
Why have you left?
I beg and beg
I will just have to accept

I am alone
The light is no more
Stumbling each day
Fighting my own terrible war

What a beautiful week of posting and sharing of some amazing poetry. So happy to see your poetry among them Cameron. May you find inspiration by reading some of the poetry written here by other poets also. Read and comment on their's and they will return in kind. Love, Carol
