The Life I'Ve Lived

Is this where I thought I’d be
Those many years ago in my future see
I had plans to be the one
That did all the things that should be done

When I was young and life had just begun
There were songs and lots of sun
But other things happened then
So here I am now at the end

Truth is the killer you will see
And it will come along so easily
So here I stand with thanks to give
Not all plans made but a life I’ve lived.
