The Letter - Letter To My Children Poetry Contest

My dear child, if you read this
Feel with your heart the warmth of my embrace
May your days always be filled with bliss
May your world be always showered with grace

Don't you forget to always wear a smile
For, a joyous heart makes a bright new day
Don't you be hateful, not even for a while
For, hatefulness caps your heart in gray

Step on your own pedal and mind your own wheel
Except when you need to lend a helping hand
Mind your own feelings but feel what others feel
Don't you forget to always put your feet on land

Don't you feel envious even for a bit
For, envy drags a heart to a pitfall of sin
Learn to throw your own shot and take the hit
Don't make it a habit to find dirt on people's skin
