The Legend of Tangle Heartsprite
This legend may be myth or truth
in poems penned of promis’d proof
For Tangle Heartsprite was his name
with magic love his claim to fame
~
On feathered sunset’s glittered glare
a’cast ye eyes of whimsy’d stare
A gnome arrives this bonny night
neath heaven’s glow a’ twinkled light
~
Enchanted, O’ these spells to weave
‘pon lonely ones whom do believe
Of tangled hearts o’er endless love
lo’ gleam of shooting star above
~
Yon bramble bush, blushberry vine
a wait til comes this needful time
With dust a’glow in coloured hues
he chants true love, O’ come to you
~
In lonely hearts who hear his chant
a mystic seed his spell doth plant
O’er smiles born ‘pon frowning grins
awash they fall as love begins
~
Once born of ancient catacomb
this realm called earth now finds his home
Bestow his spells of love the call
to those deserving, one and all
~
Yet, o’er this silent evening still
his own so lonesome heart doth fill
For she, of beauty deep the well
doth cast her own euphoric spell
~
When ‘pon her eyes this gnome did peer
o’er moments flutter’d lucid clear
His course now known in feelings true
at last his heart her love it knew
~
So now you know this mystic tale
of how a perfect love shan’t fail
O’er spells he cast down pathway’d roam
hath finally found this fabled gnome
