The Legacy
Take away our dreams, but the memories live on
Force us to follow your ways, yet we will go on
Take away all we have, yet our spirit's will stay strong
You say you know what's best for us, yet we have learned
You care nothing about us, and there's no meaning in your words
Our freedom and land you've taken away
But we still have pride in who we are, and you'll never take that away
We would live in peace, but you were too blind to see
Greed over took your hearts, and you wanted all you could see
And though you tried so hard to make us disappear
Sorry to disappointment you, but we're still here
You'll never break our spirit, or understand what we believe
We will forever hold our truths, and beliefs, and goals for they're our legacy
