It seems that the Conman has come upon a realization in the mirror. He sees himself and how he looks after he has conned you and perhaps realizes for the first time how it changes him in a way he does not like to see.

I feel stupid. Okay, is he admiring himself as he imitates his treatment of 'you' in the mirror for his ego's pleasure?
