The Last Time
Inhale and exhale, then inhale again
Have you any morphine to lessen the pain
If I give you a split lip
DO NOT let the secret slip
If I go on to give you a black eye
You know that to others I will deny
Don't question when i take away your phone
What reason do you have to call home
Life sometimes can be such a drag
To spice things up I'll make you my punchbag
I may call you some unsightly things
But you're mine, on your finger I put that ring
Yes I'll hide your clothes and tell you what to wear
And to be quite frank, I really don't care
I don't care that I've reduced you to tears
Because I make sure when I hit you, nobody hears
I don't care you're an adult, nor care how you feel
I certainly don't see a problem, so what's the deal
I dare you to call the police, or even a friend
Do you think that will make your nightmare end
I own you and you're mine to keep
I don't care how many times you plead and weep
I will not let you go so please understand
If you question me you'll feel the back of my hand
I don't want any of your friends near
Because if they are I'll give you a thick ear
I know how to manipulate you and make you feel wrong
I'm a pro at this I've been doing it for so long
The fact of the matter is I am an abuser
And will do my best to think you are a loser
I will lock the door and hide the key
And don't be lookin for no explanation from me
I will dictate to you what clothes to wear
And if you don't like it, then walk bare
I can't really say that I'm sorry and that I'm weak
As those words you will never hear me speak
I have loads of issues and don't know what to do
So instead I'll take them out on you
You are actually innocent in this relationship
But will find any reason to suddenly flip
The dinners not ready, the floors a mess
My fists and rage I cannot suppress
But I know if you left I'd probably crumble
'It won't happen again' I regrettably mumble
'I love you darling, you know that you are mine'
I promise that this will be the last time
