The Last Sunset

A watercolor treasure of flaming hue I will always recall the last sunset with you Wine glass prisms dancing round in our hands Plotting and scheming our midsummer plans The sun hangs lower, a glimmering pendant Bestowing its shimmer on your face, resplendent Only minutes to go, only moments to cherish Foretelling a destiny, a love that will perish Though darkness ensues and my heart is sleeping A new day will break to end all the weeping But no matter the course, all my life through I will always recall the last sunset with you

This was great Mike. You have given us a complete scene on your poem from beginning to end. A little sad but oh those memories can feel so good.
