The Last Phase

The Last Phase

The sun was blazing

gently parting the puffy clouds

winking to the whistling wind

oblivious of the ominous presence

springing up a pungent finish

The end was dreadful

 as the day was gray

he was drained of life

alas denied of hope

without emotion

putting his pleads

at bay

with him calling out

in vain

as there emerge

flashes of hope
