The Last Night

One more night of sweet dreams
For tomorrow the tears will stream

One wind to a music box is all it took
Preparation I suppose, for tomorrow I'll have to look

What he plans to do will tear our family apart
All I'll be left with is pieces of what used to be a heart

A walk through a door is all it's going to take
A bloody scene, A cry for help, my spirit he's bound to break

I didn't know in just one more day I would never be the same
I won't be able to save him, I know it's such a shame

There will be a family in crisis, a family in pain
Left to wonder and find someone to blame

Soon I'll wish I could go back to change a thing or two
To tell him that taking his life is something he shouldn't do

I bet you wish tomorrow would never come
Don't worry after all of this I'll be comfortably numb

Sorry you experienced this... I've had a couple of people die from suicide, one was my girlfriend. I wrote a poem called silence of suicide about it..

Thank you. So sorry to hear about your girlfriend and others. I've lost both my dad and brother to suicide. It's a unique type of grief for sure. I guess all grief is really. I'd love to read yours, is it on your page?
