The Last Homely Hourse

Elrond lives there
     His memory
      goes bak for eons
His daughter"Arwen Evenstar"
resides in Rivendell
She is as beautiful as the evening stars
Soon the elvish folk
must leave Middle - Earth
for the gray havens
      But first they must
must face the depredations of Sauron
A
company
was
formed
there
      Nine walkers representing
Elves, dwarves, men and halflings
were sent out
      in juxtaposistion to
the Nine Riders - Sauron's malevolent wraiths
     Driven to madness by
the Rings of Power
    Sauron desires it
with a fierce love
    The homes of the
Elves, Men, Dwarves and
Hobbits
       are in peril
Resting and refreshing themselves
at the Last Homely House in Rivendell
   The company girds
itself for a long, wearisome
journey
through fire - and great danger

Your write would make J.R.R. Tolkein proud, Matthew! I enjoyed this return to Middle Earth. Love this magical, fantasy write! And thanks for your comments on Princess Di. I was just one of many who loved her and felt she was superior to the Royal Family. Love, Carolyn
