The Last Goodbye

Sagging, hanging, off the bones Getting so big but never falls. It clings and tightens its hold on me, It’s under my skin, but still you can see. Running, Fighting, trying to shed these beasts That have taken their hold on me. Feeding off my pain and fears, Making me want an end to be near. Spiraling down a dangerous hill, If this monster keeps growing It could kill. I want an out, but I don’t know how. I am ready to give this monster, Its last goodbye. Now I've reached my lowest point, If I never say goodbye, All there is left to do, is die, Because memories haunt What reality couldn’t kill. So, in the end The big, sagging monster Will never, Let you say your last goodbye.
