The Last Farewell
The End, a dazzling beam of tranquil infinity
Where darkness is loveliest, I could gladly soar
Far into the glimmering galaxies in dream's serenity,
A blazing bubble buoyed, yearning to roar.
A voiceless stream where the stars everlasting
Take contemplation in joy's exalted strands,
Where Nothing transcends the space overflowing,
Impenetrable in the canvas of aspiring Sunlands.
True, I so loved the glory of living thunder
Of clamorous winds and bellowing seas,
Of skylines' azure hills of grandeur,
Of passions that stretched and stretched beyond seams.
I take one last farewell, a child of earth
Prized to rest among heaven's gilded clouds.
A modest cottage, beautiful in its silent breath
With an infant's smile, a soul without bounds.
I now close my eyes keeping that defiant glare
With wolf's courage, an imperiousness that never dies.
My God! Can I look upon one last time, eternity's flair
And share the splendor of that dust in the skies?
