The Last Drop

On the fateful hour of the day The horizon covered in the anger of darkness In my nostrils, a later meaningful blood smell Head lying on a tough mat in village clinic Despite elevation, eyes couldn’t catch sight of injured leg In my mind a flood of unanswered questions By my side for six hospital months you stayed With beauty and smiles, my heart you comforted But why on the last drop Committed and loving, care you rendered My soul filled with joy and happiness But why on the last tear drop When I needed you the most like thirsty relieving water Hopeless and helplessly wishing to last bid warm farewell You vowed never to set an eye on the poor me again But why on my last breath
