The Last Christmas In Kuwait
Christmas is supposed to be a great celebration,
With a happy hearts and joyful occasion;
Everyone's smiling greeting each and every person,
Wishing a wonderful holiday and best season.
Christmas tress are glamorous and full of decorations,
With colorful and blinking lights that play your visions;
At the top is a star that glows so bright among them all,
And underneath are presents, wrapped so nice and beautiful.
Every home have a grand preparations,
Have lots of foods, games and some presentations;
Everyone have fun celebrating this season,
And all are awake from night until dawn.
But now, I didn't feel this special occasion,
'Coz I'm in a place that people don't have this custom;
No preparations, decorations, no grand celebration,
Just an ordinary day, so I celebrate it alone.
Though I'm feeling sad, but I'm trying to be glad,
I hum Christmas songs to avoid from getting mad;
Trying to think the joyful moments that I had,
And told myself - "celebrating alone is not that bad."
Then, a smile in my lips suddenly appears,
My eyes sparks for joy, though it's holding a tears;
In my mind I see my christmas by next year,
I'll be home to my loved ones and friends so dear.
