The Last

When the Last milkman Puts the last Quart of milk In the last milkbox, And the last General Practitioner Makes the last house call And the last mousetrap is invented, The last sea is crossed The last hope is lost And the last human thought has faded Into eternity The last shot has been fired The last death rattle Rattled The last secret tattled The last martini served My love will still last My heart will still hold fast For the shadow Eternity does cast Has met it's match at last.
