The Language of Hugs

If you want to learn another language, It is never too late to learn how to hug, As without knowing when to hug, How to hug, When not to hug, What message your hug is sending, And when it should be ending, It is hard to set the right tone for the use of other language. Once you have mastered the art of hugging, The results will not be disappointing, With less shrugging, With less shouting, With less pouting, With a lot less complaining, And hopefully with time, more forgiving.

Hello David, David, I have not been hugged in a very long time. My dead husband hardly hugged me. I know he was sick. Before that he cheated on me. He never said why he did it. That hurt. That was when i did not trust him. I am happy to hear that you are cancer free. This is good news. Oh we hardly held hands to.

Like all language it sends/gives a message. I was and Early Childhood Teacher for 30 years so I know how important it is in a child's life to be hugged in right way. I really felt for the big or overweight children whom most teachers could not lift to change nappies let alone give a hug. ln todays wacked out world even women can get into strife for not understanding when and when not to hug. It can be difficult when some of us grew up when hugging was a natural part of their family life. So yes I think it is a language in its own right with hand holding and other forms of touching another person another aspect. I am glad o see you are still in the soup. ps I am now 4 years cancer free and our grandson turns 5 in Feb. Regards DAVID
