The Landfill

ever drifting,ever shifting
sifting through the mountainous debris
it often seems they never rest
like snow upon the crown of Everest
are the gulls of turnkey.

It is amazing that Seagulls or freshwater Gulls would eat debris at a lnndfill...I see Buzzards, Crows, stray cats, wild dogs, Blackbirds, with swallows flying over the trash at the transfer station...I can't understand why that doesn't kill them...Great write about survival, making do, adaption, etc..Sara
