The Land Above The Brain

There is a land above the brain,
A luminous and trembling height,
Where thought dissolves to silver rain
And love becomes a kind of light.

Where quantum sparks of what we are
Drift outward like a breathing star—
Unfinished longings, soft and true,
Still searching for their rendezvous.

There empathy is not a word
But wind that moves through everything;
Awareness hums—a hidden bird
With incandescent, trembling wing.

The physical world lies folded there,
A blossom in a deeper bloom—
All life inside its secret air,
All grief and gladness in its room.

And if you wander far enough
Past sorrow’s gate, past joy’s refrain,
You’ll feel that land—so bright, so rough—
Where spirit rises past the brain.
