The Lamentations of Fate

Shadowy silhouettes and fragmented memories: ebony outlines, inked by years of disappointment veil hope's complicity, in using trivial deeds like colored crayons, to show God created those lines. Faith countered my enthusiasm for life with self-doubt, controlling my thoughts and dousing any sparks of hope. All that awaits me beyond death is oblivion: religion can't silence the lamentations of fate.
