The Lake of Fire
The Lake of Fire

Many study prophecy and quickly speculate,
On whether the demise of man draws near;
As the godless flounder within a dire strait,
Each faces the rapture foreshadowed by fear.
On that day they’ll pray for the rocks to fall,
But quickly ascertain it’s become too late.
For in life they opted to neglect God’s call,
Now judged, the lake of fire is their fate.
This place of fire is where all wicked are cast,
Becoming eternally separated from God’s love;
Effectually remaining as one of Heaven’s outcast,
Facing unquenchable fire now judged worthy of.
For rejecting God the only one supreme being,
Their lot in hell has become their only bequeath.
From that place of torment exists no fleeing,
“And there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”*
