The Lad From Hoboken
Oh i once knew a lad from Hoboken,
a lad from Hoboken, a lad from Hoboken
Zip a dee da day o
This lad from Hoboken, this lad from Hoboken
He loved to sing and he lived to dance
This lad from Hoboken this lad from Hoboken
Loved to sing and dance
Zip a dee da day o
Now he sang all day and he danced all night
And he danced all day far into the moonlit night
He danced all day and he danced all night
So what do we do with this lad from Hoboken
He sang all day and danced all night
So what do we do with him
Oh i once knew a lad from Hoboken
A lad from Hoboken
A lad from Hoboken
I once knew a lad from Hoboken
Who is now lying dead from fairy spite
They made him dance and they made him sing
All on a moonless night
He kept on dancin, kept on dancin.
Right on over a cliff.
Oh i heard the thunder and heard the thunder
Of the wild hunts trip with souls to ferry
To lands down under,
I saw my friends ghost on back of horse
Back of horse, back of horse,
Screaming at me for help
So i once knew a lad from Hoboken
A lad from Hoboken
A lad from Hoboken
zip a dee da day o
