The King
Once you were my King my true
Hearts' desire of love unending fire
Your awkward touch of unemotional
Cold unfettered one way bogged as if a mire
Yet I held on hand outstretched
Heartstrings yours a puppet for play
Tears I cried laughter shadowed over
Darkness hid all at night until the day
Had I but known different love
Would you have sheltered me
Watered and groomed me loved
And caressed me and gently as a tree
But I fear my heart is to far gone
For our lifes' plan has been played
You are a King and I a mere remnant of
What was your Queen and now laid
I gave of my virtue my most treasured
Valued gem and you took it like a man
And now I am like the rest you conquered
Valueless chaste woman wondering this land
Bravo! The King has struck again.
Give his belt another Notch
Helter skelter Lords and Ladies
The King has stolen another Crotch.
