The Key

If only you could see inside me
Then you would have the key
The key to unlock my thoughts
To prove I'm not one of many robots
That I have emotions and feelings
Feelings that have been hurt from my dealings
Dealings with you
Dealings that said we're through 
But I keep dreaming on
That it's not the end but the dawn
So there you have the key
The key to unlock my inner mystery

Cortney Bartholomew April 15, 2016 at 5:19 AM I like this,,it made me think. :) I've handed out that key many times...Sometimes my heart got broken, sometimes not, but every time worth it,,there is something about handing out that key! We open our heart to trust, even if the other lets us down,,,it helps us to grow,,,those let downs are momentary, and in our honesty we learn to love ourselves..flaws n all. Thank you :) this was an awesome write
