The Kaleidoscope

The Kaleidoscope

Remembering unimportant things the complexities of the mind
Feeling your skin crawl beneath the canopy of contagious hives
Still here, still wondering why the silence feels at home
Escaping the flames as the Devils licking the skin off my bones...

Stop says the sign in front of me but I realize it all too late
Anxiety is attacking me my spine quivers in watered hate
Stuck here in suffering with no end to whatever it means
Looking up towards God knowing nothing's quite what it seems...

So I have learned a lot, yah not much it's all pretend, false, or fake
Twirling through this kaleidoscope there's not much more I can take
Ask your questions I'm not answering it's the same thing everyday
All alone with my disease lost in an area forever gray...

Reads very well, no forced rhymes, so cleverly constructed, ...only snag, ...the title misleads the poem, and though a good word, it does not do justice to the clever write...." Forever gray" feels better, because of the ambiguities and true or falses.....

Thank you for your comment and your duly noted dislike of the title. Yes it is a bit misleading I do agree but none the less it will never be changed because this is what it is. Have a great day
