The Jump From Thought To Action

Oh the things that I could do
The art, I could create
All the dreams that would come true
I could be so very great

The goals, upon my belt
And talents in my possession
The souls, my gifts might help
Completed tasks and lessons

I could be in such good shape
Eat healthy and be fit
Feel proud, for goodness sakes
Finish instead of quit

A soccer mom, I could be
Preparing home cooked meals
Full of sensuality
Giving my husband all the feels

I could wake without prompt
If I just accrued the habit
I would launch my days off
And beat the morning traffic

I could learn what it means to thrive
If I had the motivation
I’d feel happy and alive
I would reach my destination

There could be a scenario
Where my purpose was defined
Despite where this life would go
I’d feel it all the time

If I could get beyond the “could”
Just get passed the thought
Act, where once, plan, stood
Keep my attention from getting caught

I think we all fall victim to this, at least I do.
