The Jay and Me Music to my ears, Tears composed of salt water Flow to the ocean. A grey jay blends in Wings of life singing praises, The cedar its home. I thank the framer; Guilt doesn’t gnaw my conscience Others chop down trees. I fear death today Earth circles the light of life, Sans the jay and me.

great Haikus or Senryus, Dennis. 3rd group middle line one short , but still fantastic.

Sorry for the comment. my mistake The third stanza has a syllable count of 5 6 5 using "How many syllables" website to count the syllable count. I wasn't sure of the "me" as a person

I appreciate your input Eve. I'm not quite sure I follow. The poem is a Haiku format with 5,7,5 syllable lines conveying a nature setting
