The Invisible Life

I walk down the street every day, you do not see my flame, I have experienced that look every which way, you who needs someone to blame, I look into your eyes and all I see is shame, you start looking for love with no name. I walk down the street every day, you do not see my prayer, I have experienced the weight of pay, you who see's a drain and offer no prayer, I look into your eyes and still I pray, you start looking but find nothing to say. I walk down the street every day, you do not see my pain, I have experienced this world not in vain, you who can not see beauty in rain, I look into your eyes and see a soul slain, you start looking at me, but your kept in place by your chain. Make a change.

Hi Lance, The flames are there to be experienced out there in the world that seems so cold yet every now and then we can feel the warmth coming in from someone who truly cares about our feelings And if only for a moment the chains are broken so that we can feel the full potential of those prayers that are given in his name,God bless you my poet friend thank you for sharing this with everyone here in poetry soup, and thank you for your critique on my latest poem, it is truly appreciated, Dean

In Visible Life... walking down my street at night I wonder does he see my fire, peering through the blinds his flame my desire, I walk with no shame, speaking bliss from a tongue in flames... I wonder to myself... does he know my name? ;) Great write my friend.
